Grab your map, pick up your pen, and get ready to join us, because at Sharp Pens’ next workshop we are exploring your world—the one your novel takes place within.

World Building is often overlooked, but authors cannot afford to neglect their stories’ settings. Whether it’s a mythical island full of dragons or inner city New York, you must understand the
crucial role your world plays in your story. Join a group of like-minded teens (ages 13-19) on Saturday, November 5th, and unearth the intricacies of your story’s world through games, contests and engaging lessons. We’ll be explorers, unlocking the secrets of writing, discovering truths about the world around us, and learning more about the life-changing mission God has given to His people.

Each student may come dressed as an explorer of their choice. After all, what better way to prepare to discover new worlds than by coming dressed up as an explorer? Are you fictional or historical? Are you an 18th century sailor? An astronaut? A diver uncovering an underwater world? Be creative and have fun! We’re looking forward to seeing some epic costumes.
Note: WiFi is not available at the event venue.

Plan to join us on Friday evening, November 4, the night before our Worlds Workshop for “Rumors of War”. This bonus session, only $5 extra when you register for the Saturday workshop, is a fun evening recapping the theme of our April Workshop subject: Conflict. Whether you are a returning student or new to Sharp Pens Workshops, you won’t want to miss this fun-filled night of dessert and review.
NOTE: Just fill the registration form out once. Then when you proceed to payments, choose the 2 DAY event admission ticket instead of the SATURDAY ONLY ticket if you plan to attend both days.
